RETURN, REFUND & WARRANTY POLICY

At L-SPEC DATSUN, every Datsun Z engine build is handled with
precision, professional machine work, and verified parts sourcing to
ensure reliability on vehicles often 40–50+ years old. Due to the nature
of custom engine building, machine work, and parts procurement, the
following policies apply to all orders and services.

1.  PARTS & COMPONENTS RETURN POLICY

Custom Parts Ordering Most components used for Datsun Z engines are
sourced, cleaned, tested, and prepped through third-party machine shops.
Because of this:

-   All parts purchases are final once the order is placed.
-   If a cancellation is approved before machine work or assembly
begins, a 35% restocking fee applies to any and all parts or
materials already ordered for the build.
-   Shipping costs, machine shop fees, and diagnostic fees are
    non-refundable.

No returns are accepted for used OEM components, machined parts, ported
manifolds, or any custom-modified components.

2.  ENGINE BUILDS, CYLINDER HEADS, & MACHINING SERVICES

No Refunds Once Work Begins Due to specialized labor, custom machining,
and the age of these vehicles:

-   Once an engine block, cylinder head, or manifold enters the
machining, porting, or assembly stage, the order cannot be canceled
    or refunded.
-   This includes: hot tanking, decking, honing/boring, crack testing,
valve jobs, porting, short block or long block assembly.

Absolutely no refunds will be issued once any labor or machine work has
started.

3.  WARRANTY & MECHANICAL FAILURE COVERAGE

30 day warranty only applies on 100% OEM builds only
under the following condition:

-   If an engine experiences a verified mechanical failure at initial
startup, and the failure is confirmed to be due to workmanship or an
internal assembly error, we will repair or replace the affected
    components at no cost.

This warranty applies only to OEM-specific builds using
factory-style components.

No Warranty on Aftermarket or Performance Builds Due to variables
outside of our control—fuel systems, tuning, boost pressure, ignition
setup, driver habits, and decades-old chassis systems:

-   We do not warranty any aftermarket, performance, turbo, or modified
    builds.
-   This includes forged internals, oversized pistons, boosted
applications, ported heads, upgraded camshafts, EFI conversions,
    custom tuning, etc.

Once delivered, it is the owner’s responsibility to ensure proper
tuning, installation, oiling, break-in procedures, and operating
conditions.

4.  CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITIES

To maintain eligibility for start-up coverage on OEM builds, customers
must:

-   Use proper break-in oil and follow the provided break-in procedure.
-   Provide proof of professional installation (if not self-installed).
-   Ensure the cooling, fuel, and ignition systems are functioning
    correctly.
-   Ensure no tuning changes or modifications were made before initial
    start-up.
-   Notify us of any issues before continued operation.

Failure to follow these requirements voids any and all coverage.

5.  ACCEPTANCE OF POLICY

Placing a deposit, ordering parts, or requesting machining/assembly
services constitutes full acceptance of this Return, Refund, & Warranty
Policy.
